Stoutfits: Helen Stieve

After some extensive runway research this summer for the coming fall trends, I have been anticipating a maxi skirt come back for the fall and winter. I’ve spotted some ultra trendy dare-devils darting to class looking warm and fashion-forward, even though I believe most of them are Apparel or Retail Majors. Hopefully the rest of the campus will notice the trend as well and jump on the band wagon for some comfy and chic winter outfits in the coming months.

This comfort chic fashionista admits her favorite cold weather staple item is hands-down a fitted flannel, and has a well-worn multicolored collection herself to prepare for the frost ridden months ahead. However, her most trusted winter accessory is over the knee socks.

…they look great with boots and jeans or leggings, and if you find patterned ones they can add a little flair to any outfit!

So, while jotting down ideas for those Christmas lists, keep the coming winter in mind and opt for clothes that closely intertwine function AND fashion!

  1. Helen, I love this. I’m always interested in others fashion ideas and trends. I think the Maxi skirt is a great addition to winterwear with wool tights and boots underneath for that extra warmth. Personally the maxi skirt is not my style but maybe I will try it out and be spontaneous. You never know maybe I will actually fall in love. I’m always willing to try new things and to being different 🙂
