Tricks and Treats at UW Stout

While most people celebrated this past weekend, many a student dressed up for classes this Monday. Off the top of my head I can recall spotting a witch, a cat, a woman from the Renaissance and a fencer mingling nonchalantly with the rest of the student body on their way to classes.  Also, students decked out their houses with carved pumpkins, decorations, and a few even supplied candy for younger trick-or-treaters last Friday. I personally attended the Street Level Ministries Halloween party featuring our two beloved DJ’s better known as the Beat Delegates, Loaded Nachos, Endless Popcorn, Blood Orange Soda, and plenty of candy.

Bottom line, it was an amazing Halloween at UW Stout. Its hard to believe that November is already upon us, and that we’ll all be headed home for turkey dinners in a short 20 some days. Also, I was shopping for groceries the other day and Christmas music began to seep out of the speakers and settle upon me in quite the rude awakening. Christmas music. Can you believe it? I tend to feel that Christmas music has no place in shopping centers until AFTER I have outrageous quantities of mashed potatoes and turkey in my belly, but I suppose as far as shopping for presents goes, there’s no time like the present. Just something to keep in mind. That being said, my advice to you is to enjoy November while it lasts and get outside before its a winter wonderland, and maybe start compiling those Christmas lists!
